Preparations have started for the sequel to actor Ajay Devgn’s Hindi film ‘Drishyam’ released in 2015. The film was a remake of the film of the same name, released in Malayalam in 2013. Now the Malayalam film ‘Drishyam 2’ has been receiving a lot of praise since its release on Prime Video. Producer Kumar Mangat, a close aide of Ajay Devgan, has also bought the Hindi remake rights for the film ‘Drishyam 2’.
According to the information, producer Kumar Mangat is going to make a remake of the film ‘Drishyam 2’ in Hindi. The film will be a remake of the recent Malayalam film ‘Drishyam 2’ released directly on OTT. Both the films made in Malayalam are directed by Jeetu Joseph and the heroes of both films are Mohan Lal. Ajay Devgan’s ‘Drishyam’ was directed by Nishikant Kamat, who died on August 17 last year.
Ajay Devgan has recently signed the Disney Plus Hot Star web series ‘Rudra’. It is said that after completing ‘Rudra’, he will start shooting for ‘Drishyam 2’ later this year. Preparations are being made to release the film next year. Kumar Mangat is going to announce the name of the director of the film soon.
It is also worth noting that its director Jeetu Joseph has already worked on its Telugu remake after ‘Drishyam 2’ hit in Malayalam. Actor Venkatesh has been signed for this edition. The Kannada remake of the film has started in the name of ‘Drishya 2’ and its director will be P Vasu.
