1.After nearly two years, only six places are selected for the Indian Premier League to be held in the country. These include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. All teams will play matches at four of the six venues during the league stage.

2.Teams won’t be able to play a single match on their home ground, ie no team will get the advantage of home conditions. All matches are going to be played at neutral venues and no team will play matches at their home.

3.This will be the second consecutive year when all the matches are going to be played in empty stadiums without spectators and a choice will be taken afterward the entry of the fans. The matches are going to be played at six different places within the country for a complete of 52 days. During this point there’ll be a total of 56 league matches and 4 matches of the playoff-finals.

4.This time, IPL will not be played in Rajasthan, Punjab and Hyderabad. All the matches are going to be held in just six cities. Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore will host ten matches each, while eight matches each are going to be played in Ahmedabad and Delhi.
A total of 11 double headers (two bouts a day) are going to be played within the tournament.

5.The afternoon matches will start at 3:30 while the evening matches are going to be played from 7:30.

6.All the play-offs and title matches of the tournament also will take place at the world’s largest cricket stadium (Narendra Modi Stadium) in Ahmedabad.
